Tom Partridge - Weirding Miami Beach

The project speculates on the future of Miami Beach in a 'weirding' world, where rising sea levels and extreme weather require the reintegration of the coastal landscape into the urban street grid. The whole island acts to attenuate storms, including a new artificial 'performative' beach where sand is treated as a valuable commodity.
